I’ve installed Ubuntu 7.10 on my
    AMD 64 3000+
    2GB DDR
    Nvidia OpenGL 5200 VideoCard

    installation went smooth

when startup it froze at the beginning, I had to edit xorg.conf file ,changed video driver from “nv” to “vesa” ,then it became stable
next I downloaded all the updates including gnome 2.20
then I installed gnome restricted nvidia driver , and now it rocks

sofar this beta version works much better than the 7.04

    thanks gnome and thanks ubuntu
