This propose of hardy theme suggests to Ubuntu 7.10 use the beautiful new Clearlooks engine with subtle changes in the color, selected menu item and in the gnome main-menu. So take a look at the may be future theme of Ubuntu Hardy Heron 🙂

The team has already decided that Avant Window Manager (the dock at the bottom) won’t be default in Hardy, though it will probably be in the repos. That means two of these looks are guaranteed not to be “the one.”

^^ Well its actually not like that AWN is just for referencer and how could you say guaranteed ? Are you Ubuntu developer ? I would love to see any of them implemented in 8.04 🙂

I can’t wait to install Hardy Heron. Hope this time I’ll be having less problem installing and configuring. 😛

    Edit : Added 2 new mockups 🙂

I like the top one and the fourth one the best. They are very distinctive and attractive in a way that is completely different to Vista or OS X.

I always used to think that Ubuntu should use the theme “White?” – it’s an attractive orange theme. But the brown ones here are great.
